Артур Александрович Бетлинг (Arthur Heinrich Boehtlingk; 31 мая 1849, Санкт-Петербург – 31 ноября 1929, Засбах (Германия) – доктор философии, профессор истории Йенского университета.

Биография

Родился в семье оптового торговца Александра Николаевича Бетлинга и Софии Каролины Блессиг, в Санкт-Петербурге. Учился на гимназическом отделении Петришуле только один год с 1858 года по 1859 год. С 1859 года был зачислен в гимназию Видемана. Изучал философию в Йене, с 1869 в Гейдельберге.

Умер и похоронен в 1929 году в городке Засбах, земля Баден-Вюртемберг.

Жена: Наташа Остерейх (Natalie Osterreich; 4 апреля 1849, Страссбург – 5 ноября 1928, Засбах)

Преподавательская деятельность

Преподавал историю в Йене с 1876; с 1879 года - доктор философии и помошник профессора, с 1886 года - профессор истории и литературы в Йенском университете.
